Profile_JohnJohn has 26 years’ experience in managing large-scale strategic and operational IT and telephony services in the public sector. As a senior ICT professional within the NHS, John has a wealth of experience in leading strategic change and successfully managing complex programmes of work. As an MSP, PRINCE2 and APMG Change Management certified practitioner, John is able to deliver innovative and cost effective solutions, that bring teams and clients with him on the journey.

As part of John’s work with CPP, John has supported Birmingham City Council’s Education and Skills Strategy Department, reviewing schools’ PFI ICT Services Contracts, analysing the project status and contract performance, reviewing existing contract management provisions and making recommendations for ongoing performance monitoring. He has also worked with individual schools, helping them to maximise value from the outsourced ICT Contract.

As a consultant, John has also worked with Cambridge and Peterborough Clinical Commissioning Group and Urgent Care Cambridgeshire, undertaking a review of technical readiness for the recent ‘111’ non-urgent telephone service initiative, identifying areas of risk and making recommendations for action.

Previously as a senior IT manager working at Director level within the NHS, John successfully integrated IT services following organisational merger, combining staff structures and optimising data centres and systems.
